Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated September 2026. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we may share it, how we protect it, and how cookies and similar technologies are used.
By using FileFlight, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide. Your name, email address, company or organization information, login information, billing information, support requests, and other information you voluntarily provide.

Files you upload or transfer, file names and basic file information, sender and recipient email addresses, transfer links and expiration information, password-protection information, transfer status, and activity such as whether a transfer has been sent, opened, or downloaded.
FileFlight does not claim ownership of your files.
Automatically collected information. We may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, dates and times of activity, service usage, diagnostic and performance information, and information relating to security and abuse prevention.

File Security and Malware Scanning
FileFlight may use automated security-scanning services to scan files for malware, viruses, ransomware, malicious code, and other potentially harmful content.
If a security threat is detected, FileFlight may block, restrict, quarantine, delete, or otherwise limit access to the affected file.
File scanning is intended as a security measure, but FileFlight does not guarantee that every threat will be detected or that every file can be successfully scanned.
Unscanned and Partially Scanned Files
A file may be identified as “Unscanned” or “Partially Scanned” when FileFlight or its security-scanning providers are unable to complete or fully verify a security scan.
This may occur because of file size, file format, technical limitations, scanning errors, service interruptions, or other circumstances.
A file identified as Unscanned or Partially Scanned should not be considered safe or free from malware or other harmful content.
FileFlight may restrict, block, quarantine, or otherwise limit access to a file when a security concern is identified or when the file cannot be adequately scanned.
For information about your responsibilities and FileFlight’s liability relating to Unscanned or Partially Scanned files, please see the Terms of Service.
